Installation of 300 piles to support a very long boardwalk located in a park in Chicoutimi, QC.
Big project ahead for the Vistech Saguenay team: 300 piles to be installed to support a long boardwalk in the heart of the Rivière-du-Moulin park located in Chicoutimi, QC. In this photo, we can see the team going on a first tour of the site before starting construction.
As you can see, preparatory ground work had to be done before laying the first piles.
The work is progressing well! Shortly after the start of the project, several piles were already screwed before being identified by orange markers for later identification. At this stage, the challenge was above all to ensure that all the stakes were aligned with each other.
As part of this project, the general contractor was also required to build a bridge cage made of concrete. The piles screwed in the foreground were used as reinforcement during the pouring of the concrete.
Project almost done! Let’s call that high precision work!
During the winter, the Pieux Vistech Saguenay team returned to the project site to see the result of the project. Here is the famous concrete cage whose frame comes from our piles!
Here is a closer view of the foundations of this beautiful bridge. Good work from Pieux Vistech Saguenay, right? Doggy seems to agree with us anyway!
Here is the result! Thanks to the good work of Pieux Vistech Saguenay, visitors of the Rivière-du-Moulin Park will be able to admire the splendours of this landscape safely on this bridge!
